YES! Finally it's over and done with, I've officially parted with my examination woes for this semester and it should be too as well for the rest of us by the end of next week. With that, let's cast a distant look ahead for the summer holidays and see what we can do with it, afterall it lasts over three months! Showing us the way in the local cinemas is Ironman, which begins screening this week to kickstart this fabulous summer season, except for the torturous climatic torment many of us are subjected to I must admit. Singapore gets to experience a singular season of varying magnitude all year round, and the heat intensifies for the months between May and July. Thus becoming one of the highest worries on our concern list that is taken into consideration for our summer plans, but fret not as MSR leads the way by introducing '10 Ways to Cool Off the Summer Heat', our very own summer special feature post.'
What else can better add on to this extreme heat and worsen things for us than the recent ridiculous rapid fluctuation in the prices of daily products? It's on the news, it's the most popular coffee-shop talk agenda among the heartland heroes, and it's attaching a lot of unwanted stressful woes onto people's daily life. Coupling with the ghoulish heat, our citizens might just get a tad bit out of control being agitated and heated up to engage in unwanted and unintentional verbal or worst still, violent brawls. You'll never know when some poor soul might mob you of your grocery shopping items due to their inability to cope with the price hike frustrations. Perhaps it's time to pick up a little self-defence knowledge to prepare for that unexpected time of crisis as we shall be featuring a modern school of martial arts: Quantum Jujitsu.
'
We propose to induce art and culture into our ways of lives to minimise the above from happening by putting us into constant meditation of self-peace by gaining a deeper understanding of things beyond the obvious. The time is now! The Singapore Arts Festival 2008 is calling port soon on 23 May, and here to stay all the way till 22 June. MSR will be highlighting some of the significant events from the Art Fest's event calender.

As for those of you who've been constantly curious on the whereabouts of our guest critic April, sorry to keep you waiting as she's been tied down with work and such of recent. However, fret not and rejoice my dear readers! Let's just say that you'll be hearing from her sooner than you can say 'whatahell?'. April, you've gradually snitched the loyalty, favouritism and heart of my readers. you haughty little brat! You owe me more than just a couple of movie reviews apparently, *winks*. With that, we really hope you will indulge with pleasure in the agenda we've lined up for you this month. Enjoy.

au revoir,
MuHu Son
