WoMen: Saoirse Ronan

I first caught notice of her in 2007's Golden Globe Best Picture "Atonement", where she was still a petite young enfant displaying a set of outstanding acting performance. I saw her again in this year's "The Lovely Bones" (2009), apparently Ronan has defeated the vertical challenge in physique and convinced me of her prominent acting prowess. She still looks youthful, concurrent with her age of 15. This morning, I saw her on the red carpets of the Critics' Choice Movie Awards and I was left in shock-awe ever since. Have a closer look as I'd like to see how your jaws drop wide open too:

A wonderful little girl Saoirse was back then. Today, she has turned into a fine lady who exudes beauty, feminism and vast potentials.

Turning sixteen this year, this lady walked on the red carpets and emerged as the best dressed female celebrity for the event. Not just a pure looker, she's already enjoying great credentials of achievement from her previous Golden Globe, Academy Awards and BAFTA nomination in 2007 for her role in "Atonement". Only barely sixteen, mind you.

Saoirse is currently attending college in Ireland, bet she must have her share of juvenile suitors. With her prestigious performing art achievements and after how she fared extremely well in today's red carpet lookbook, I won't be surprised if she has matured gentlemen signing up for her fan club. With Emma Watson gracing Burberry's current campaign, will Saoirse Ronan be up as the next youth actress to venture into fashion?

WoMen: Time Transcends

It's simple, all men either love men or women. There're good reasons why men love each gender respectively, but let's just stick on course with women today.

Respect, is one of the main affections we men hold for the ladies. Why, it can't be that difficult to figure that out as a member of the masculine gender. For a start, women are such a gorgeous looking bunch who never fail in amazing us men with their beauty exuding in sophistication (maybe that's why it's been said that men will never fully understand women). Well, I think it's highly true. I'm not just referring to the aspect of beauty that we benefit by sight solely, but also the aspect we adore in heart, such as intelligence, individualistic taste, traits, personality and sexiness.

Yes, sexiness is not just derived from every luscious curves found on a lady's physique. True sexiness usually comes in other understated forms. A witty average-looking lady in her 30's can taunt you mischievously with her words alone at a date even with a conservative outfit donned for that night. She plays with your mind, then instills in you a powerful lust for her that may well last for the weeks to come. Whereas an up-close encounter with a scantily cladded 19 year old hottie, whose only treasured asset owned is the very body she's using to lure you with, can only provide a moment's high that will very much end by the time you open your eyes in the morning (with your wallet still intact with your bills and plastics, that is).

So it's interesting to see how ladies of different age display various attractiveness. The energy and vibe oozing from a lady in her 20's reminds us of the flamboyant and vibrant side of life that is still actively in play and available as a life journey route option for you should you choose to enter the young lady's circle of life. The nostalgia and focused passion for the exquisite things in life that is present in matured ladies may hit you in a great spot like how a vintage wine does for you, where you may enter and benefit by exploring the finer sides of life together with her should you have the opportunity to walk alongside with her.

With a youthful lady, life's like drinking alcoholic liquors to dull your senses in order for you to fall right into the impossibly outrageous moments performing ridiculous acts (that you may or may not regret later on). You are only interesting in what the alcohol (life) can do for you and will go into impromptu acts before talking about it (perhaps there won't even be any talking after). With a matured lady, you enjoy life like how you sip quality wines to appreciate the aftertastes and grape harvest. You simply pay more attention to the quality of the wine (life) itself and share the interesting facts of wine appreciation with her over warm-hearted long conversations.

As men, which serves your interest and desire better?

MSR Speaks To: April

MSR speaks to our very own Creative Editor to try and see what we can find beyond her physical self. It's high time we get to know her better. Oh, bachelors might want to stand in line and read on with attention.
*M: MSR, A: April

M: If you're to pick 3 words to describe yourself, they would be…
A: Bitchy, corny and way too paranoid.

M: You’re currently feeling…
A: Like shit. HAHAHA!
'
M: You think you look…
A: Reasonably ok.

M: Great sex and excellent wine & dine, you’ll prefer…
A: I can have good food and then move on to mindblowing sex. It all depends on how fat is his wallet and how skillful he is.

M: You totally dig into…
A: Sunset, beer and good sex

M: Before you die, you would love to travel and visit…
A: All over Europe.

M: The nicest thing you’ve done is…
A: Agreed to break up with my last boyfriend, so he can move on to date someone else uglier than I am.

M: The naughtiest thing you’ve done is…
A: Too many to mention!

M: If we like to date you out, we must…
A: Be charming.

M: You think MuHu Son is…
A: A friend for keeps...

M: If we like to learn something exclusively secret about you, it would be…
A: I’m actually very nice. If I snap at you, you’re probably just f*ckin’ annoying.

Now that we've a better grasp on our knowledge of our CE, we hope that most of your queries on her are answered to your satisfaction. Bachelors, any interested takers?

WoMen: What Ladies (REALLY) Want

1. Pleasant looks.
I’m superficial. So are you. So don’t give the kinda crap, ‘I don’t go for looks’. So would you like it if your partner is fat, smelly and bald? I don’t even wanna go there.
'
2. A friend in need.
Enough said.
'
3. Understand why women love shopping like how you love football.
'
4. Charm.
Some people have it naturally, some needs to be nurtured but all in all, not every guy has it. If you think you do, actually you don’t. Charming guys usually don’t know they’re actually using their charm. It comes unknowingly.
'
5. Family orientated.
I wouldn’t want to date someone who resent his parents. The two most amazing people who brought you here so you can enjoy good food, good sex and lots of booze. You’ve got two people to thank, yo dude.
'
6. A guy with good direction sense.
I read my map upside down.
'
7. Sincerity.
'
8. Reasonable fashion sense but don’t be vain.
Don’t go for waxing or trim your eyebrows unless you’ve got a forest growing on places really visible.
'
9. Honesty.
What good is a relationship if we can’t be honest with each other?
'
10. Patience.
Because I’ve got none.

MuHu: WoMen

MuHu~!

Elegance, class, brilliance.

What can possibly better describe the ideal contemporary lady that most of you can only dream of seeking? Forget about the sultry wanton imbeciles whose sole purpose to men can only serve to be 'ball'-istic seduction. Leave them to be discovered at the various night spots where they're in abundance every weekend, or flip through titillating men's magazines if you have to.

For today's agenda, MuHu: WoMen shall be focusing the limelight on three refined young celebrities in their 20s whom I think stands out in the aspects of beauty, brains and splendor. Why three you ask? That's because I can't help but notice certain uncanny similarities in them...

Julia Stiles
Bourne to Stardom

USA

Born in New York City on March 28 1981, Stiles, an English degree holder from Columbia University, began her acting career at age eleven. Most of us would probably remember her as the CIA operative Nicky in the film The Bourne Identity (2002) and its sequel The Bourne Supremacy (2004). She would be reprising her role as Nicky in the upcoming third installment The Bourne Ultimatum set to hit local theatres August 2007, which would conclude the Bourne Trilogy. Producer Lynda Obst had entrusted longer screen time for Stiles in the new movie accordingly to her belief that she would be 'the next Meryl Streep'. Looks like the public opinion of Stiles isn't just another pretty face.
.
I'd started noticing Stiles when I caught Mona Lisa Smile (2003) in the theatres. I'd to admit I couldn't recognise her as Nicky in The Bourne Identity, for her role was simply too minor! Mona Lisa Smile was when I realised how much potential she held as an actress. Her serious acting talent that earned several critics' credibility aside, she never ceased to stun me with her image as the American brilliant beauty of youth. No, you don't compare her to Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan. Uh-uh, no way! The single thing about Stiles that amazed me: She appeals even without deliberate cosmetics, fashion and sexiness. She quoted Gotham magazine in 2005 saying that 'she'd never be in Playboy or anything close to that, not that anyone would ask'. Seems like she's a really good girl who cherishes herself, well, it's a good thing for her as it would not tarnish her classy brilliant image. She's the high-end natural beauty that men of matured age desired for.
.
Mind you, she's only 26 this year!

Keira Knightley
Bend it Like Knightley
UK

An actress who's 'single-minded about acting' during her childhood, Knightley convinced her parents to allow her to pursue an acting career by acing her academic grades. Born in Teddington, Middlesex, England on 26 March 1985, the 22 year old owned a spectacular resume under her belt of fame. She was first cast as Padme Amidala's decoy in Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, her first feature in a major film that caught the attention of some due to her uncanny resemblance to Natalie Portman. Later on, her breakthrough role as an aspiring female English footballer in Bend It Like Beckham. Her major film casts followed soon after. Featured in Jerry Bruckheimer's blockbuster hit Pirates of The Carribbean Trilogy had greatly upheaved her rise in fame. In 2005, we saw 3 films with Knightley in them. The Jacket, Domino and Pride and Prejudice. Pride and Prejudice provided Knightley an opportunity for her talent to be recognised by her Acadmy Award nomination for Best Actress in 2006.
.
If you were to ask me, I'd say this anorexic-figured actress had worked really hard to achieve her current status as the uprising serious actress in the UK. Just look at her filmography, nine films in five years! I compare her to a young Judi Dench, at least that's what I feel. This lady here owned some really versatile acting talent, as I noticed how she managed the different roles adaptly in the various movies. She's blessed with great looks and charm of feminine maturity, you can't really keep in mind her current age of 22, can you?

Be careful all you men out there, pursue Knightley's type at your own risks as her wits are on par with her glamorous looks. Don't get outwitted and not knowing what happened after she downright dumped you by the streets for your poorly chosen cheesy pick-up lines!

Joanne Peh
Peh your Respects to Her

Singapore

Joanne Peh, a Miss Singapore Universe 2002 Finalist who also took home the award of Miss Elegant and Mis Personality that year, graduated from NTU with a Bachelor in Communication Studies (second-upper honours). During her studies, she's an active actress with Mediacorp and had since been shot to fame with her multiple involvement in TV serials and variety show hosting. Born on 25 April 1983, the 24 year old had also cliched several endorsements such as the new Lux Girl together with Hong Kong star Karen Mok. Fujifilm, Citigems and Fancl were some of her other significant endorsements. Currently she's being appointed the new ambassador of True Yoga and had recently endorsed Bonia and Vagary.
.
She's great in the Channel 5 English drama serial After Hours, proved that she's versatile in both English and Mandarin works. She's able to blend in with her other co-stars and impress. She's also taken interest in journalism, we could see how she is showcasing herself as a sophisticated beauty. If she's able to mark a successful double bill career as both an actress and a journalist, she's deemed to impress and appeal. Besides, her credentials during her Miss Singapore Universe 2002 pageant had already proved that she belongs in the 'classy sophisticated ladies of beauty' category.
.
I guess it takes men of knowledge to be able to strike at the hearts of ladies like Peh.
.
Gentlemen, what are you still waiting for?

I shall be posting again.
.
