Los Angeles based indie music group that caught MSR's attention this issue with their 'airy' vocals and psychedelic tunes that deem to tease our hidden relish for unique music style. Highly defined by its 'happy nightmare' genre, your curiosity will definitely be provoked into checking out their debut EP release - Exquisite Corpse.
Featuring 6 distinct tracks, be prepared to be lured into an abyss tunnel of psychedelic serenity with soft beats and tranquilizing vocals. It's almost akin to an ancient tombstone hidden in the midst of a summer flowery garden, you'll be surprised to discover dark alarming secrets beneath that beautiful surface of appearance. Check out the music video of "Stars" for a brief idea, as well as their official myspace profile for more music.
Highly probable of you ending up with a wasted afternoon getting mentally intoxicated, don't say we didn't warn in forecast of this venomous audio candy.

Acoustic: Sara Haze - My Personal Sky
With only a mediocre life resume of 19 years, this young lady houses a stunning voice that features a grown woman's soul. Yes, she's even capable of great live performance that she has so often treated music fans to at several locations with her band. So make no mistake about it, here's a soulful album release this month that you will not want to miss upon belittling her age(trust me!).
It's probably about high time that Sara Haze releases her debut album, especially after contributing several songs to films & television series in the past. One of her most popular singles will probably ring a bell to "The Hills" series fans - My Own Hands To Melt.
What singles out Sara Haze in my opinion is her intimate participation in her latest album where she wrote songs that reflected her inner soul to the world. There's reference in some of her songs that might have suggested her yearning of a loved one, her frustrations inflicted by a break-up and joyous moments in her life. Perhaps this album is titled "My Personal Sky" for a reason (although this phrase can be heard in and drawn from her latest single "Beautiful Day").
Highly recommended as a weekend play list as well as one of the few great albums out there this month. Tracks of note are: "Beautiful Day", "Melt Into You", "Cold in California", "My Own Hands To Hold" & "Every Heart". Check out this album as well as Sara Haze on her myspace page, album's officially available on iTunes.

Acoustic: Jay-Z & Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind
With a pair of lips that sprout lyrics at a speed only measurable in RPM along with a powerful soul singer/songwriter, the world saw what this combination duo is capable of at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys created a wonderful piece that never ceases to rally the audience into rhapsody as one whole, almost like how a national anthem unites a country. In short. This is one of the most influential and powerful single out there that has shattered several charts, just listen to Alicia Keys' amazing chorus rendition.
What's better than having a wonderful music video featuring NYC to savour the song with?

Acoustic: Pink - Funhouse
With her newly released album "Funhouse" just almost a week ago, she is the hottest music note of the moment. Upon reviewing all the tracks in this fabulous album, it's easy to notice where some of her songs gain their inspiration from - her divorce with Carey Hart. Boasting a wide mix of genre, everyone can find something to their liking from smooth ballads to pop-rock and electro-rock. A fusion of aggression, self-disclosure, and desire. Expect to experience loads of fun in the lonely house of Pink who yearns to make her inner side known to fans and beyond.
Influencing your life's soundtrack always.
