MSR: Editor's Letter - April 08

MUHU SON AWAY ON CAMPAIGN!
EXAMINATION WOES!

It's that period of the academic calender once again that sees several tertiary education pursuers compromising their wonderful and precious privileged VIP pass to Zouk for a restricted entry pass to the examination halls. Hell of a month for these students, and sadly to reveal, that includes myself as well. Tough Luck.
'
Stress accumulates as night after night, you accompany your revision materials and beg them to permanently reside in your mind for the month so that you may unleash them upon and thus conquer the respective papers in search of that top notch grade so desperately desired by our local Undergraduates. (Can I call that commendable hard-work? Or is that just pure kiasu-ism?) It starts in the mid of April, and ends by the end of the month. My campaign officially ceases on the 24th, before I am released back to my desk duties as MSR's Managing Editor.
'
Coffee and chup chai peng shall fuel my campaign every day and night, I simply have to learn how to appreciate and co-habit with these two, befriend them as my new pals if I have to. Speaking of which, rice prices have soared tremendously recently. The Government has expressed their stand of not placing a price cap on rice in hope to protect the suppliers' welfare, so as not to affect the supply quantity as a result. I guess I'll just have to make do with bah chor mee?
'
Enough said, I shouldn't be focusing so much on misery for this month. It's MSR's guest critic - April's birthday this month, let's all wish her a good ol' HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (Hey, keep up with the reviews yeah?) Ironman's scheduled to be released at the end of this month! Ain't that a good reason to call for a post-examinations celebration? Till that day comes, the lengthy queues shall be temporarily shifted from Zouk to the Lee Wee Nam Library. Bouncers and Bartenders may like to freelance as tertiary tuition-givers during this month to tide them over this night-scene dull period.
'
Oh yes, this marks my first Editor's Letter for MSR. I'm dashing for that cuppa coffee now to instill revisionary discipline within me.
'
au revoir,
MuHu Son
