Superdog Vivocity

MuHu~!

Fast food chains are all the rage these days, but not without reasons. In Singapore, there will always be situations where speedy resolution of the hunger issue is required. From hectic businessmen who regards every second of time saved as money gained, to groups of friends who only have an impossibly short amount of time left before their movie screens. There's always a reason to opt for fast food. It's especially popular with the students too, in fact it's integrated as a part of the student/youth culture here! A point to note here though: People will have to watch their fast food intake as it is not healthy to consume on a regular basis, that's why I rarely join in the never-ceasing queues at the fast food outlets here. However, I happen to visit a new place "Superdog" at Vivocity B2 today. I know it's sinful, but what can I do about it? MuHu~! Let's take a look!

My order was the Chili Cheese Burger meal, complete with a pack of regular fries & a cup of freshly brewed iced lemon tea. I purchased it with a coupon detached from the fliers they're handing out outside their place, so the financial damage for the meal was $7.20, instead of the usual price $8.70.

This is what I found upon opening the wraps, the Chili Cheese Burger~!

Look at that chili bacon sauce that's found in abundance in the burger~!

Golden crispy fries from Superdog

Freshly brewed iced lemon tea

The burger was like the size of any regular burger, but it's smaller in circumference when compared to the Whopper of BK. When I opened up the burger to discover the contents of it, I found a beef burger patty, lettuce, a tomato slice and cheese together with the chili bacon sauce all over the burger fillings. The sauce was spicy and tangy, very flavourful. The beef's not as barbecued-dry as the Whopper's, so some plus points for it. However, I can't help but notice something. The taste of the burger came almost solely from the chili bacon sauce, while that of the Whopper's very flavourful without any special or significant sauce. This showed that the beef in the Whopper definitely owned a better taste itself when compared to the Chili Cheese Burger.

The fries were something different. Instead of the thin long strips of fries, Superdog offered thick short ones. Fries appeared golden and crisp, and we discovered that they tasted exactly as what they looked like! When placed in the mouth, the fries're crispy and hot. Definitely much better quality fries found here as compared to many other fast food chains, you can even munch on the fries here without any chili sauce. They even provided a heart stopping offer of having chili bacon sauce over the fries, but that's going to cost you another few extra bucks.

Superdog's iced lemon tea's definitely not like what other chains supply. It's not of Seasons calibre, instead it's really iced tea with a twist of lemon slices! I was half-expecting to take in sweet taste when I was greeted by the slight bitterness of the iced tea together with the tangy sensation from the lemon. Very impressive, at least it made me feel less sinful when I drank it! MuHu~!
