Oceanic Passion

MuHu~!

What sort of feelings does the word 'Ocean' stir in you upon seeing or hearing it? I don't know about you but, it's rather soothing to my mind when I imagine the vast blue aquatic mass with the powerful winds seeping through the hair and lifting them off to fly weightlessly above my scalp. Upon the works of my strong lungs, a forced intake of concentrated salt-flavoured sea breeze through my nose eases the mind & body as I shut my eyes and embrace that sensation. Ahhhh~~~~ Can you imagine that?

Anyway, just something that actually struck my mind earlier on as I return back to my residences from an outing with my Mom. I can't help but to repeat the thought in my mind that almost everything's associated with the word 'Ocean' for today. Oh, Really?

For a start, a movie outing was briefly arranged with my Mom to accommodate the fact that I held two movie passes to 'Ocean's Thirteen'. Well, that's the first link to Ocean. So it happened that I suggested going down to GV Vivocity for it. Since Vivocity's rather near to the Southern waters, that's my second link to Ocean. Upon reaching the largest mall in Singapore, we headed to Food Republic at level 3 for some breakfast. We took a walk around the whole place, and it actually brought us back to the 50s. Man, that place was like some Chinese heritage museum offering some of the best hawker delights under one roof! Being an Oriental guy who loves to indulge in cultural cuisine, I opted for some dim-sum at Bao Jin Tian:

We ordered some siew-mai that had prawns in them, some long-zhi with scallops, and a big chicken pao with tiny traces of abalone

.

After breakfast, we proceeded for our movie. Check out my ratings for that movie together with all the other movies I've ever watched so far in my life at http://www.flixster.com/user/jakaurora . Right after the movie, we found ourselves liking Food Republic so much that we actually returned to that place for lunch. This time, it was fish soup with bee hoon. Once again, fish can be found in the Ocean, thus the third link. Here's the photos for the sight-seeing session outside the shopping mall after our meal:

You can see the Carlsberg Tower on the left, the right one's just a cable-car pillar

Here comes the Oriental Chinese 'Junk'-ie!

The 'Junk'-ie's berthing near some cruise vessels.

Seems like Snowman found the wrong place to spend Summer~!

.

Well, I know many of you guys really envy the time that I have to go for trips like this, but here's my reply to all of you: Don't be! Even though time is what I have in abundance, money isn't. I don't have the money to finance all these trips, trust me I'm still sourcing for that part-time job~! MuHu~!

I shall be posting more.

Chenkuieh~!
