Movie Review: Mamma Mia!

I quote some random person, 'We let songs control our lives too much." And how apparently, it's the only thing that can. The thing about musical is, it makes you happy. This time, put the A in A-------bba. :)

Most of us sort of grew up listening to at least one ABBA song. To name afew, there's 'Dancing Queen', 'Mamma Mia', 'Money, Money, Money' and so much more great tracks from the legendary group. And NO, 'Dancing Queen' was not sung by A*teens. I'd kill anybody who thought it was.

Mamma Mia! in a scope: For all Sophie's life, she wanted to find out who's her father. She chanced upon reading her mother's diary and found out there are actually 3 possible candidates! She thought it'd be a great surprise to invite all 3 of them to her wedding and also have her real father give her away at her wedding. This film is filled with quirks, fun, laughter, tears and alot of ABBA.

I'm trying not to give away too much of the film but to all movie-goers out there, Mamma Mia is another must-watch films in 2008. This film's so colourful, it made me want to put on some glitter, flashy outfit and do some funny chicken retro dance. And who knew Meryl Streep could actually sing? ........... and Pierce Brosnan couldn't? If you're afraid it might turn out to be too girlie, I assure you, you're just in for some good, crazy fun. Enjoy the most of it.

Word of Caution: This film is not for the EMOs. It's way too happy, it might just kill you there and then.

And lastly, Thank you for the Music. :)

PS: Enjoy the Mamma Mia playlist at the corner, if you think it's too cheesy and annoying, easy: turn it off. Cheers.

Xoxo,
April
