Here are just some tracks to listen to for this hot, hot summer. (but first, switch off our player lol)
No Air - Jordin Sparks Ft Chris Brown
Jordin Sparks the winner of American Idol 2006 has released her self titled debut album. No Air is her second single duet with R&B singer Chris Brown, followed by Tattoo (which is also another easy listening ballad). The song is produced by The UnderDogs and this 2nd single has helped Sparks' album rebound on the charts. (well, we all know that most idol winners don't make it that great after winning the title)
No Air is another cheesy number but surprisingly addictive. I enjoyed the video. The both of them looked so in love, so convincing, there's just no reason to not like this song.
"Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air, Can't live, can't breathe with no air, That's how I feel whenever you ain't there that's no air, no air Got me out here in the water so deep, Tell me how you gonna be without me If you ain't here, I just can't breathe there's no air, no air"
During the finale of American Idol 7, Jordin Sparks and Chris brown sang the duet on stage. Jordin Sparks looked so in love with him but Chris Brown just doesn't seem to be reciprocating the feelings, maybe Rihanna's watching tv.
Violet Hill - Coldplay
British Rock band Coldplay has just recently released their latest album "Viva la Vida or Death and all his friends". Violet Hill is their first single. The band described the song to have a 'chalky and pastel feeling' which reminded him of his childhood. Whatever that means, this is one song you must have in your MP3.
On the Coldplay official website, 'Violet Hill' was free to download for a week on April 29 (I swear they're regreting it now). The video of the song is filmed in Italy, which is weird because Violet hill is actually a hill in Hongkong. ;) This latest album is available on June 16. Go grab yours now.
"When the future's architectured, By a carnival of idiots on show, You'd better lie low, If you love me Won't you let me know?"
American Boy - Estelle Ft. Kanye West
British R&B singer, Estelle's American boy, featuring Kanye West is another summer must-have songs. Song produced by Will.I.Am. The song is chirpy and sexy, definitely something to keep you away from the heat and get you moving to the beat. The video is made black and white with Estelle and Kanye flirting lightly with each other on screen.
I just have 101 reasons to think Kanye's cool. Seriously? Seriously.
"Take me on a trip i'd like to go someday, Take me to new york, I'd love to see LA I really want to come kick it with you, you'll be my american boy"
4 minutes - Madonna Ft. Justin Timberlake
So this time she only has 4 minutes to save the world. For all of you Madonna fans out there couldn't have missed her first single for her newly released album 'Hard Candy', 4 minutes featuring J.T. This song is produced by Timbaland which is why you see alot his flava in this track. In an interview, Madonna was asked her collaboration with Timberlake and Timbaland. She said she had a hard time deciding who to work with for her new album and someone asked her whose music does she really like and she answered Justin Timberlake and Timbaland's, which is why she decided to work with both of them on this track.
4 minutes is definitely another dance track which Madonna is known for.
That's not my Name - The Tings Tings
You should probably by now hear this happy and cute track by The Ting Tings over the radio. The reason for this band name was because they used to have a chinese friend called Ting Ting and decided to name their band that because it was cute. Weird indie bands... with weird indie names.. just don't ask.
But! This track is cute and hard not to bob your head to. Really. You'll like it, trust me. For the record, I think THIS is MY summer song.
I can't show their official video because it was disallowed for embedding, but you can check out the song here. :)
Found your soundtrack of this Summer yet? ;)
